Report on Doctors Trip

Brian and Bethani went to San Francisco for her weekly appointment. They went Monday and stayed the night. Tuesday she met with the lead doctor who preformed the surgery (Dr Zang). The appointment lasted an hour and a half. The doctors were very positive and said her liver is doing well. They said she can have a normal life after recovery.

This weeks homework is to stand straight (Mom Bishop get the books out to put on her head lol). She also is taking one pain medication at night, and they want her off by her next appointment.

Bethani had her first outing Wednesday. She went to have her hair washed and conditioned (and a head massage too!) She got pampered!

Thank you for your continued prayer. Every day is better, but she still needs our prayers!

Way to go Bethani!!! Stand up straight this week and next week you can treat yourself to a pedicure and manicure! Go for the facial, too!!!

Love ya! Susan Hill

I was just informed that my pedicures have been wrong from the beginning. Apparently, I've confused the ability to bite my toenails with the need to bite them.

Wish I hadn't discovered this during my wife's Home Interiors party.

Okay, I've been roped in. I'm just trying to be cuticle.

Wow! Finally got to wash your hair. So if you stand up straight this week are they going to let you brush your teeth?! LOL Of course I'm kidding. It must have been nice to get out and get pampered.

Rich asks about you everyday after he gets home from work. He knows I'm religious about this blog. ;)
We are very happy to hear of all the progress you are making. Give yourself, Brian, And Wyatt a hug from all of us.

And Susan is right, go for the pedi, mani, and facial too!!!

We miss and love you all! ~ Crystal

Hello, Bethani-

I'm so glad to hear of your progress and your excellent report from the doctor. I don't know you well at all, but the friendship between your parents and my husband and me goes back many years. So, because you are dear to them, you are dear to me, and over the past few weeks, I have cried and prayed for you.

But God is a wonder, is He not. We face things we never dreamed would come our way, but by His help and the help of His people and the help of skilled doctors, we emerge well and with our faith in God and in mankind strengthened.

God bless you, your husband and Wyatt. Continue with your swift recovery.

Love,

Shirley Buxton

Hey cutie pie,
Well I am glad your appointment went well. Well it sounds like we are going to have to postpone that bikini contest that you were scheduled to be in - LOL, just kiddin' with ya!!! Great to hear that you are back on track to your princess status...I am going to second what Susan Hill said - go for the pedicure, manicure, facial, and whatever else is on that pampering menu!! Now's the time to soak in the royal treatment - and you deserve it more than anyone. Miss you! Keep up the postings - us faithful bloggers like new updates - LOL!
Stay strong and stay positive!

Hello Bethani & Brian,
So glad to hear the good report. You are still in my prayers.

Also just want to know if you were interested in contacting my friend who went through a liver transplant just over a year ago. He and his wife are willing to answer questions and be a support to you. I had written a comment last week but didn't hear back. With all these wonderful comments you receive it is easy to overlook one. Please let me know either way. Just want to know you got this message. My e-mail is kaspacek@yahoo.com

Much Love,
Katherine Spacek

It might be easier to stand up straight if Ron didn't always have you doubled over laughing. If he were in a humor contest, I would say he "nailed" it. j/k

Thanks for the updates about your progress. I'm glad the doctor's visit was positive. Hugs & Kisses!

This past week my sister's pastor died suddenly of a brain anurysm (sp?); he was only 47. His wife donated everything possible from his body, and the day before the funeral she received a plaque with TEN names on it already, with more names to come, of people whose lives were saved or made better from organs/tissue/cornea's donated from her husband. I told my sister to tell the wife about you, Bethani, and how your precious boy will still have his mommy, thanks to someone who cared enough to donate their loved ones liver. My sister told her, and they cried together as they looked at the plaque and prayed for you, as well. Although she is so sad to lose her husband, it is a great comfort to know that so many people were helped because of his organs being donated. It made her so, so, so happy to hear your story and to know that other people will have a similar miracle story. I just wanted you to know that your story is still encouraging people that you won't ever know, probably. I already am an organ donor but ESPECIALLY now that I know how your life was saved because of it!! Hopefully other people feel the same way.
