Progress Report

Bethani went up and then back down four stair steps today. This is all part of her recovery. She is looking better and better. She is still eating very little.

The family would like to express their deepest thanks for all your prayers, support, and comments. Your comments keep them going through the long hours of recovery. Bethani enjoys having your comments read to her.

Bethani!
We have not forgotten you after the surgery, as you can see, you support group is HUGE. The minutes, hours and days ahead will be long but never forget that we are all here. Don't feel bad over the "emotional" moments!!! You've made it this far and of course with God you will continue!!! You've got what it takes... what a family to be there for you!
All our love and prayers!

A comment regarding Jana's comment on "tough mommy"...... I guess you can't be offended if anyone tells Wyatt that his "mommy wears combat boots" you certainly have been in the battle and came out victorious!! Wear those "boots" proud!!!

It is so comforting to know we are part of a big family. When one member of the body hurts, we all hurt. I am overwhelmed with the love of God when I read the progress reports, comments, and see the pictures. Sis Bethani, this has brought so many people together, joined by a common thread of prayer and concern for you and your family.
I am not sure how to express what I am feeling but I think we as Gods people have found a new voice, a restored faith and a bond with each other.
Let us never forget to pray one for another, and to bear one another's burdens.
May God bless and strengthen you today.

Bethani, your situation is such an awe inspiring happening. God definately has his hand on you and your family. Keep trusting in him and lean on his strength in those moments when you feel the weakest. Although we haven't seen each other since we were small children, through Christ I can definately call you my sister. I am praying for you little sis.

Bethani,
Girlfriend if you need someone to come work out with you on those stairs - u know I'm always up for some cardio! This latest update brought back memories of Danny's first few stair attempts after they put the screws and plates in his back....oh babe...its ok to cry! Rehab is no walk in the park, its painful, but I promise it does get easier! It's easy to get depressed and irritated at not being able to do the simple movements without pain but give it time and you will be back to strong self. And being grumpy is ok - you are entitled to some complaining!
Thinking about you constantly!

Love you girl.

Brian and Bethani,

Bethani you don't know me, but I have been friends with Brian and his family for a very long time. When I heard about this, I began praying, and haven't stopped. Glad to hear you are doing better, and pray that you will continue to heal. Brian I'm praying for you and your little boy also. I know it has to be a stressful time for the both of you and your families, but God is with you all, and he knows where you all are at. Keep trusting in him!
Love you all,

I just woke up. Last night I had a dream that I ate a giant marshmallow.

Now I have to explain the missing pillow before they let me leave the hotel.

Hey Gang! We sure do love you and think of you and pray for you daily. Bethani, you have people praying for you that you've never even met. So much concern and love is coming your way. I hope you feel our hugs through the web! I look forward to having a race with you as we chase Wyatt and Logan around the Roam Reunion next year. I hear you are already in training on the steps there! I guess I'll have to get on the stairstepper at the gym. Our hearts are with you!! Drew and Christie, Whitnie, Shadon and Logan

Bethani, we are so proud of your progress. Remember, Rome wasn't built in a day and recovery can sometimes be slow and painful. You are one strong young lady and we believe in your persistence! We are so thankful for your progress each and every day and know that God is walking by your side. Brian you have one incredible wife and Wyatt has an amazing mother!

You and your families remain in our prayers each day!!!

CS Lewis once said..."Courage is not simply one of the virtues, but the form of every virtue at the testing point." I think you all have had an extreme amount of courage in the past 8 or 9 days. You have proven to be a strong and courageous family through all of this. I am proud to know you all and have you as part of my church family.
