Going Home Day!

Bethani is on her way to Redding! The doctors said her liver is "happy" (fully functioning). We serve a MIGHTY GOD! One week after her transplant, and she is on her way home!

Bethani is eating much better. She is eating chicken and she loves sour foods - lemons, green strawberries. sour gummy bears. She does not want any sweets! The doctors have been able to get her medication regulated. Her pain and nausea is under control. She is walking more and more each day. The doctors have told her she cannot be exposed to the sun due to risk of skin cancer - she must wear hats, sunscreen, etc.

Pray for them on their way home. They have a four hour drive, and Bethani has to walk a little every hour. Thank you for your prayers!

Hot Dig-a-de-dog........Oh thank you Jesus. Bethani...my heart leaped with joy hearing of you coming home today. My emotions have been like a whirlwind. I'm tickled pink of all the good progress. I know you have a long way to go, but God is with you. Our prayers will continue everyday for you and Brian, Wyatt and the rest of your family. I will be getting a food program going for the family. I will talk it over with Sister Bishop before anything is planned. The church family understands that you won't be able to have lots of company, but we also want to help in any way we can. Sooooo I will talk with you Sister Bishop on how we will handle the food program.
We serve a great and mighty God. I just can't get over how fast this has gone. We love you Bethani. From Bro.& Sis. David Opdyke.

Thank the Lord,
It is awesome what God can do.
I am happy for you going home Bethani. It has a healing effect all of its own (I know).
I know that Brian the Bishops and any other family will be overjoyed not only for Bethani but for themselves to be able to be at home. A familiar place where you can let your hair down and just walk down the hallway in your PJs if you desire. I know this is an often overlooked pleasure that we all take for granted. I know the whole family will FULLY UNDERSTAND this.
I am happy for you Bethani, AND family.
Our prayers are continualy with you all.
We Love You. The Buster Family

Brian, Bethani, & Wyatt --- We are so happy you were able to go home today. That is just amazing!! We have thought about you every day & continued to pray for you & your entire family. God truly answers prayers. I think it is so awesome to have the family of God to pray for us & support us during times like these. We had our precious baby girl, Breanna Danelle Pruett, on Thursday, Nov. 15th. Thank the Lord she is healthy & doing well. (Everyone else is very sleep-deprived, however). We'll keep checking this blog to get updates of your progress, which we beleive will be very good. We love & miss you guys. Stanley, Tanya, Ryan, Josh & Breanna Pruett

Isn't it amazing when one of our number is hurt. All of us band together in prayer for that person. And our God is quick and faithful to answer. I mean your going home two weeks after having complete liver failure. When anyone else would have been in a month or longer. WOW. This reminds me of the song "What a Mighty God We Serve!!!" God Bless and I'll keep praying that your recovery continues along to phenomenal levels. Jut remember with Faith there's no limit to what God can accomplish in our lives. Isn't it wonderful to serve the Living God and not something made of stone or wood.

I know you made it home, because I was laying in the driveway when you pulled in.

On the bright side, Bro. Bishop's assumption that he must "get the alignment checked" was mistaken. Thank God I have the skin of a pachyderm.

Oh Bethany, We're so glad you're home!! We serve a mighty God. I wonder what people do without him?! You and ALL of your family have been on our minds constantly. You're on the minds of MANY people from all over! One of our favorite sunday school songs, "When we all pull together!" Thanksgiving will mean so much more this year. I'm so happy for you and the whole family being able to celebrate what God has done. Bro. and Sis. Bishop, Bobos, Flowers, and Roam families, HAVE A BLESSED THANKSGIVING! We love you all!

Bethani, we are so excited to see what God has done in your life. I bet it's so good to be home! Hang in there- God hasn't brought you this far to let you go. He will continue to work everything out...your liver is going to function properly and your financial burdens will be taken care of. We will continue to pray for you during the weeks ahead.

Happy Thanksgiving! Eat lots and lots...you were a toothpick before, but now I'm sure you are nonexistent! :)

I wish going home meant you were coming here to Reno. Because you know me and Naomi would be over there in a second. I am so happy that you will be able to be home with your family for Thanksgiving!

By the way Rich rocked the Brooks & Dunn song at Tyson's wedding. You would have loved it.

We love you all. Have a wonderful holiday season with your family.
