Prayer Request

Bethani is in need of our prayers. The doctors are working to regulate some of her medications. Her anxiety level is VERY high. Part of this is due to her medications. She is also very nauseated and has been unable to eat which does not help with her medications.

Please pray for her! Also, please remember Brian and Bro & Sis Bishop in your prayers. They are carrying a heavy load.

"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." -Phil 4:6-7

Just read this post, and will be in prayer for your precious Bethani. God brought her this far and we are believing with you that He will continue what He has started! Bethani will remain in our prayers, as will her family. God bless you all.

When you told us (Naomi & I) you were having a bad day yesterday. We went straight to prayer and you have been on my mind ever since. I hope today was a better day for you!

One day at a time Bethani. You have a lot going on physically and emotionally. I know you want to be recovered NOW. Recovery will be here before you know it. Take it easy on yourself. ;)

I love you ~ Crystal

Brian, Bethani, Bro. and Sis. Bishop,

We've been praying and praising God daily. Like the brother named Eddie said, we need to stay on our knees in prayer and praise. You will have your good days back again, Bethani. You're a determined girl and I'm so proud of you. I know that your precious parents, Brian, and the rest of your family are backing up that determination. I AMEN Phil. 4:6-7! We love you all.

I always knew God gave you that headstrong determination for one reason or another. Sure, the PHD's will assign your scrappy strength as the result of chance and DNA, but we know better. God’s plans always cross over our own perceptive margins.

As CS Lewis said (and I'll paraphrase): Everybody wants to see Jesus turn water into wine, all the while ignoring the miracle where He does it everyday--in the water that rides up the root, into the vine, that derives energy from the sun, that makes the grape that contains the wine itself. Oh how we no longer see what seems to be scientifically mundane for what it truly is--miraculous.

The miracle was in motion before you ever saw planet earth.

Oh, and I was looking over your regimen this morning. I'm thinking that bungee-jump you made off the Sundial Bridge on Thursday might have been the tipping point.

Good morning sweet Bethani. I wanted you to know, the other night we were having Bible quiz practice and before practice started our young quizzers and all of us parents and coaches got on our knees and had a prayer meeting for you and your family. You not only mean alot to us but those children were calling on the name of our Lord for you! One of the quizzers even told me that she remembers the location of Luke 24:50 "And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.", because of your situation and her and her family have been praying so much for you.

Anyway...you have not been forgotten. Your church family is still praying for you.

We love you!
Cheryl

ps...how are those jammies? :)

Brian & Bethani,
It is soooo very normal for your anxiety and stress level to be high. It's not like our parents taught us how to handle extreme surgeries and the aftermath that follows! Between the medications, pain, and nausea it's hard to find a perfect balance without trial and error....and I know how un-fun that is! Danny and I are praying for you because it's frustrating to be where you are. Then you add poor sleep and mood swings and you feel like "when is this going to end"....it will get better - hang on!!
Love you,
Alana Opdyke

Somebody is praying for you.

When you feel down and all alone just remember somebody is praying for you. When you think that you can take no more just remember somebody is praying for you. When you are frustrated with the pain and are about to loose it, just remember somebody is praying for you. When you can tell where you are in the house by looking at the texture on the wall or that little bump on the ceiling and NEED a change, close your eyes and just remember somebody is praying for you. When you have a BAD moment just remember somebody is praying for you.

And when the time comes (and it will) and you realize that you have had a GOOD DAY just remember that somebody PRAYED for you.

Bethani we have and will continue to pray for you and your family.
God is Wonderful. He has it all in control.

Hello Brian and little Wyatt. We know you are hanging in there. Keep your chin up. And Lord Bless.

We love you all. Our prayers are continually with ALL of you.

May God Light Your Path.

"His strength is perfect when our strength is gone; he'll carry us when we can't carry on, raised in his power the weak become strong, his strength is perfect!!!"

Remember, he will carry you through the storm. He'll take you through it. You are in the middle of it, but He won't leave you there, he'll be with you until the storm is over.

Good days, bad days, he is there and knows where you are and what you are feeling. Many prayers are going up for you and Brian and your mom and dad.

Not many of us can truly understand exactly how YOU personally feel, having never gone through an organ transplant, and all the emotional and psychological aspects of it, but the Lord understands it all and he will help you Bethani. We are praying without ceasing for you, Brian, Wyatt and the Bishops. We love you all very much. Hope to see you soon.

Hey Roams,

Be encouraged that Jesus is able!

It was great to hear your voice on the phone tonight, Brian. May God surround you and Bethani with great grace. Be safe on the road and I pray that Bethani's doctor is lead of Christ in his care and instruction for Bethani. May the doctor's hands, eyes and mind be directed by Jesus, Amen.

Bethani, this too shall pass.

Brian, your Bethani and Wyatt's hero.

Wyatt, you've got awesome parents.

Much Love,
Art & Lynn and Joshua, Jordan & Caleb Cole

I read the update that there was need for prayer again. Of course you remain in everyones prayers, but for this special need now. Since then, all day, I keep thinking of the old song that has the words in it...."He'll do it again for you, He's the same now as then...." It has stayed with me all day and I just wanted to tell you Bethani that He did it a few weeks ago, He will take you through every minute of this!!! Hold on!!! I love you! Susan Hill
