update 100 and something!

Well we are still here at UCSF working at getting this moderate rejection under control. As you are aware Bethani had a feeding tube for about 24 hrs until she began vomitting which caused her feeding tube to come up. So, Bethani will get another opportunity to keep food down without the tube. This is a good thing.

Today she has already had another biopsy and the results will be in tomorrow. The liver team is concerned about her lab numbers hovering instead of declining. So if the biopsy says rejection again then they will move to a much more powerfull medication for anti-rejection. This will help get her lab numbers back to normal. The only problem is that there can be some harsh side affects.

Big Picture is we need prayer for her lab numbers to level out and for this rejection to stop as quickly and smoothly as possible. As I have said before we need the peace of God to surround us and keep our hearts and minds against fears, and worries.

Thank you all for your prayer,

Brian, Bethani, & Wyatt

We will continue to pray and believe that God will make her numbers be at the level they need to be, and that her nausea will subside so she can get some nutrition in her. We love you all, and please know that you never leave our thoughts or our prayers (not even for a second).

Brian, Bethani and Wyatt,

In Sunday School we used to sing "I've got the peace that passeth understanding down in my heart, down in my heart..." etc. (This was one of about 10 verses.) I liked the song because it was fun, we got to yell and stuff while we sang it. You've surely sang it somewhere or another. It didn't make much sense to me though. I had trouble (like all kids do) grasping the meaning of lyrics. For the longest time I thought the lyrics to Jingle Bells was "Oh, what fun it is to ride in a one horse soap and sleigh." That one really threw me! But, this morning as I read your post I suddenly grasped the concept of the peace that passeth understanding. At your very darkest hour, God is able to ease your worries and calm your troubled mind. To those who don't know Him, this peace makes no sense. But to us, it is no mystery. May the peace that passeth understanding surround you. We are continually praying.

Much love,
Jill

*Sorry for the long post. It seems inspiration comes in the morning!

Faith, faith, faith....just a little bit of faith. Faith will get you through this. Just keep having that faith. I pray that you feel the arms of the Lord wrapped around you. And like you said Brian....we are praying for your peace of mind...for you all to know that God has this under control. Our ways are not Gods ways. So we just need to know that as hard as this is right now ...in the end we will see victory in all this. Thank you Brian for taking the time for the updates. This is a wonderful way to keep us informed. Sis Bishop..as a Mom to a Mom my heart goes out to you. Your in my prayers daily as is the rest of the family. Luv u all bunches.

Bethani & Brian,
Jesus told us to speak to the mountain (difficulty, hindrances, and any such thing) and it would be cast into the sea.
I have been speaking to that mountain, "Who art thou O great mountain, thou shalt become a plain before Bethani." O great mountain of liver rejection, thou shalt become a plain before Bethani. O great mountain of nausea, thou shalt become a plain before Bethani. With shoutings, crying grace unto it, speak unto it. I am shouting, Bethani, come forth in healing, loose her and let her go. Abundance of peace, fill Bethani's hospital room, peace surround Bethani & Brian, surround Bro & Sis Bishop.
He that touches you, Bethani, touches the apple of his eye.
Don't ever think that Jesus isn't feeling your pain with you. He has a great plan for you both. Remember, He said your marriage is blessed. Hold on and keep up the fight, there is victory ahead.
Sis P
