Update from Brian Roam.

To all the concerned, family, and friends. As you already know the past 6.5 weeks has been a crazy time for Bethani and I. This traumatic time started back on 10/28 when Bethani first started experiencing symptoms of liver problems. There is no doubt that without your prayers and support we could not have made it this far. It is at times as traumatic as this that you really have to rely on prayer from others and trust that God is in control.
Currently we are waiting to see what the biopsy results will bring and then her lab work as well. For those who are not familiar with transplant medicine, let me rest some of your concern. First it is common for acute liver failure transplant patients to experience rejection and this is very treatable. The doctors have reiterated to us that they can treat this with no problem. I don't want to come across as everything is ok and alright, because it definitely is not, it is very scary for us right now, however we are on the road to recovery. Please continue to pray and send comments on the blog as they are sunshine in our day. Thank you again for all your generous support. Our main prayer concerns are nausea and vomiting, rejection, and leveling of medication. These all go hand in hand and once they are corrected they will allow her to eat and speed up her recovery.

with much love,

Brian, Bethani, & Wyatt

Our dear little Bethani,

We can't believe all that you have gone through in the last several weeks! You are on our minds everyday, and we constantly shoot up prayers for you and your family. We are praying for you, your husband, your baby, your mom, your dad, and all the rest of your extended family. This is affecting alot of people Bethani, and everything happens for a purpose in God's world. You are an instrument in God's purpose; "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." We are believing for your speedy recovery, and trust you will have a "Merry Christmas!" WE LOVE YOU!

This was perhaps the most needed post here. One where we not only get a sense of where you (all) are emotionally and spiritually, but also to place some of these announcements into proper context.

That said. I'm praying for you, as is the entire house.

Call me if you need to, bro.

Bethani & Brian and Bro.& Sis. Bishop and the rest of the family: I have some words here that I've had on my mind when this all first happened. I went through all my old records and found it. It is a song from the "Lanny Wolfe Trio". I know Sis Bishop and others will remember this song of long ago.
We're part of the family that's been born again..We're part of the family whose love never ends.
Sometimes we laugh together
Sometimes we cry .....
Sometimes we share together
heartache's and sighs
Sometimes we dream together
When a brother meets sorrow we all feel his pain and grief, and when he's passed though the valley we all feel relief.
Together in sunshine
Together in rain....Together in Victory in His precious name.

Bethani, Brian, Bro. & Sis Bishop and the rest of the family...just know this....
God has already performed a great miracle here and soon we will all rejoice "together" in this final Victory !!!!!!!!

Brian, Bethani and families;
You are in my continued prayers for complete healing and victory. The enemy will not prevail for we know that "greater is He that is in us, than he that is in the world"...we're claiming it for you and it is happening!

Love ya'll and pray you'll be able to enjoy Christmas and the New Year at home with your family!

Brian,
It's been a while since we last seen each other and I have never had the honor of meeting your precious wife. Mom called me when she had heard Bethani was needing a transplant and we began to pray that God would provide and He did. We know God is control and once again we trust Him in this situation knowing He will finish what He has begun. We love you all and will continue to pray. By the way what a handsome little boy you have can't wait to meet him.
Love,
Aaron, Breanna(your cuz), and Breleigh Batchelor

Bethani and Brian,

I love you both and pray for you often. I would've written sooner, but I thought it'd be best to silently support. I can't wait to see what incredible things God has planned for your future. Trials come to make us strong (I think ha ha) though while we're in it, we don't see how. Be encouraged...it's impossible for God to fail! TRUST!!! (big word right now) that God knows exactly what he is doing and he will be glorified in all things, even through the pain and anguish we experience. Remember!!! You're Blessed by the best, on-top, and rising, flying like the eagles you are.

It is so great to hear from you Brian! Thank you so much for explaining the situation to us. Naomi and I keep eachother updated when there is a new blog. But lately I have been so scared and frustrated that it has been so hard to read them. So thank you for the much needed details.

I wish Rich and I could come visit you guys again. But I know that a bunch of germs is all she needs right now. So give her a squeeze from us and know that we are still praying. We love you guys!

Dear Bryan, Bethani, Wyatt and all the rest of the gang of relatives:

You are in our thoughts and prayers today. When we received word this morning of the new developments, we immediately prayed for God's good hand to be upon you. We, along with the Abundant Life Center family of Matthews, NC, will be praying for a complete and total healing! It is good to know that at times when we can't see His hand, we can trust His heart. May the peace that the Christ child came to bring the world reign in your hearts during these moments of chaos and crisis. We love all y'all!!!

Dear Brian & Bethany,

Please know that Inland Lighthouse Church in Rialto, CA is lifting you up in prayer. Pastor Larry Booker brings the church to prayer for you at every service. We're also praying for you daily, hourly, and every minute at times.

We serve such a big God, I believe he is able to go above and beyond what we ask him for. We're trusting and believing him for a COMPLETE recovery. Then you can join the ranks of those among us who are LIVING testimonies of the power of God!

There is nothing like the family of God, and I'm reminded of that every time I read your blog. I see names of people who've been a part of my life since childhood. What a treasure to know we're part of the same family.

Hang in there - it's gonna get better! I seriously wish I could donate some calories to Bethani - she could use them, and I've got plenty to spare.

I'm looking forward to a good report. Thanks so much for the updates.

Brian, Bethani and Wyatt,
Our prayers go out for you and your family.
I though I`d bring you up to date on the young man,Hector, that you met at Target in Visalia and invited him to church. He comes to church every Sunday.I want you to know he has the makings of a real soul winner. We have been going through Search for Truth#1. He hasn`t missed a lesson.I taught lesson #6(One God)and he had no problem with it. Last Monday was to be lesson#7 but he had invited two friends in so we started with lesson #5 (New Testament). He has invited more friends for next Monday`s lesson.
I`ve kept him informed about Bethani and we have prayer during Bible study for all of you. He really loves you and really enjoyed Bethani`s singing, as did we all.
Brian, please send me some more Hectors. We will do our best to take care of them

God Bless!
Bro.& Sis. Bland Sr.
